Child sponsorship

Thank you for your interest in our child sponsorship program in Los Chorritos, a mountain village of about 60 homes in northern Honduras. In this community, families face extreme poverty, often living in small shacks without electricity, sharing a single water source, and struggling to secure even one meal a day. While public school is technically free, many children cannot attend because families cannot afford the mandatory uniforms and supplies.

A monthly sponsorship of $35 removes this barrier, enabling a child to go to school by providing required supplies and uniforms, while also supplying their family with essential food and provisions. To maintain sponsorship, the only requirement is that the child must attend school, which our local staff member monitors closely.

Payments can be made monthly, semi-annually, or annually via mailed check, online bank bill pay, or recurring PayPal payments, which can be setup on our site's "donate now" tab. Once received, our staff member in Honduras disburses the funds directly to the parents. As a sponsor, you can request photos and updates, send letters that our team will translate and deliver, and when possible, coordinate sending gifts.
